Where do you SPARK new relationships? Here are a few examples:

  • LinkedIn: Allows you to easily connect with businesses all over the country.
  • Zoom: Host and attend webinars and online workshops to connect with businesses and share your expertise. Examples include college events, Chamber of Commerce events and other business association events.
  • The Business Journal: A great resource for information to help you connect with clubs, associations and other business groups
  • Online Newsletter: SPARK your marketing by sharing links to in-person and online events via a newsletter page on your website.
  • Blogging: Add a blog to your website and regularly share informative posts with your online business community.
  • Volunteer: Connect with other like-minded individuals by volunteering for a cause that you believe in. Examples are your local Heart Walk Foundation, Pretty In Pink Foundation for Breast Cancer Support, etc.
  • Chamber of Commerce: Attend chamber-sponsored events in your city to meet and connect with other business owners, downtown coalitions, non-profit organizations, business and civic leaders, local colleges and universities, etc.
  • Mentoring: Partner with a mentor to fuel your support system, build confidence and share knowledge.
  • Video: Engage a videographer to help you tell your story, then add that content to your website. Another effective way to enhance your website content is to add video testimonials from clients.
  • News Releases: Send a digital press release to media and other important contacts when you have news to share. Ask them to help spread the word.

SPARK the foundation of relationships based on trust, consistency and follow-ups. Be authentic, share your passions and show enthusiasm with your out-of-the-box ideas!

Tell a phone, tell a friend, tell Linda!

Talking to People is a Lost ART!

Today, most businesses rely on technology for the majority of their communications. Others continue to recognize that the telephone can make for a more personal customer experience.

Having been active in marketing, sales and public relations for the past thirty years, I personally believe that using the telephone to build and maintain customer and employee relationships remains viable.

For instance, during an actual phone call with a client or colleague, your positive outlook and enthusiasm can shine through. And, that becomes contagious!

With a telephone conversation, your listening skills come into play more readily. By listening, you‘ll be able to assess another’s needs more carefully and suggest real solutions that can make a real difference.

Plus, follow-up phone calls build relationships and trust. They encourage collaboration — with your clients, your staff and your community.

Talk to people. Use your telephone. Personalize the experience and generate a positive outcome.

Tell a phone, tell a friend, tell Linda!
